Leafs are competing now. Trading their close to 100 point winger for worse doesn't really make any sense for their position. Maybe if you used the cap space to improve the rest of the roster but you didn't do that either, the only thing you replaced was a 4th line winger. This is top to bottom a worse team.

SEA has truly become a place where everyone just dumps their assets they don't want to keep.

You took a 100 point winger, the teams PP quarterback and top penalty killer, and turned him into a 60 point winger then didn't do anything to make up the difference ... and you don't feel you made the team worse?

Yeah unless the Leafs get a Makar, Hedman, or Fox type of Dman back, I don't think Marner or any of the big 4 are going anywhere.

not even close for marner and RHD are worth 1sts and a prospect automatically around here. At least that's what other fans say when they try and trade worse defenders than Holl to the leafs

i love when people use this as a response to having their trade proposal talked down. It doesnt make the proposal any better, it's still awful
