Risto was 26 and had 5 straight seasons of averaging about 0.5/PPG before a bad 2020-21 season. He had 1 year left at $5.4M when he was traded.
Tyler Myers is 32, has 3x$6M left, and hasn't been that prolific of a scoring threat in the last decade. He's older, more expensive, less productive, and you're stuck with him for longer. Risto is not an appropriate comparison for trade value - Nate Schmidt is more like it. Schmidt's a guy whose peak was around 30-35 points, who was 29, and was signed for 4x$5.95M. The Jets gave up a 3rd rounder last summer, which is probably about the best you can hope for in a Myers trade.
