i would love Forsberg but to me if we pick him up it means the end of Meier with the sharks.

if we pick Forsberg up I say trade Meier to a team like NJD or whoever for 23 1st, 22 2nd, and a top prospect. if it’s NJD i like Holtz.

doesn't work that way either, were giving you 1 year of him signed plus 1 year of team control! weather or not you sign him or let him walk is not our concern but you cannot consider him a rental if you have him under team control for 2 years. I'm just being logical here any team that trades for Meier would be signing him long term. and they wouldn't trade for him without at the very least a discussion on the term and length of his next deal.

I can agree with that. but Forsberg would be as well and next year they are both most likely making the same cap hit.
so Meier for 9.25 mil... Or Forsberg for 9.25 mil plus a 23 1st 15-17OA and the 22 2nd 38OA and Holtz who has a solid middle 6 projection.
because that's what were looking at if we sign Forsberg and trade Meier.
