Balcers 25yo 1.5M next year, 10 G 21P -2. Donskoi 30yo 3.9M next year 2G 20P -9.
The picks are going the wrong way if this were ever to actually happen my friend.

I loved Donskoi during his first time in SJ, but this trade doesn't make sense. Donskoi has fallen off a cliff in terms of production this year, and the last thing the Sharks want is to give up more draft picks than necessary given their ongoing rebuild. Balcers is also younger and cheaper fit for the role Donskoi had served during his time there, so I don't see how acquiring Donskoi makes sense in a fit sense either.

Way I read it was Balcers and Donskoi are equal. They are not.
