The timing of the Merrill extension sure made me think that Goose was as good as gone. Then Goose gets that 2 year extension and I don't know what BG is going to do next.

I am surprised that Addison isn't getting a look right now with Dumba out. Benn sure leaves a lot to be desired. Maybe BG/DE don't trust Addison and he might be moved since he hasn't played well enough to force them to keep him with the big club?

I do think you can keep Fiala if you trade Dumba so that works. I'm not sure you need to pay Middleton that much; he solid with a good partner but $4M feels like a lot for a guy like that. Are you sure Hartman is a 1C?

Agree completely - Goligoski should not have been re-signed especially since it appears Kulikov, who has been much better than Goligoski, will be the odd man out on the blue line if we trade anyone.

I don't see the Kings being all that interested in Dumba (especially for that price) since they have a surplus of RD. I think the Penguins could be a really nice fit if Letang walks and they want to make a few more pushes towards a cup with Crosby. The Oilers could be another good fit, although they do have a lot of money tied into their blue line.

I've wondered the same - sure feels like the organization doesn't like how Addison has developed. I could definitely see him being moved this offseason.

I mean, I have no idea why LA would be looking for a RD, but I also think you can get a bit better return for Dumba, especially if there's an extension involved.

I really don’t think that’s enough for Fiala. He’s probably looking at 8.5 right now

I'll admit I'm not a adison fan yet. I think it's the perfect move keeping him in thin ahl but next year he will have to step up if dumba is traded

I only gave him 4 because russo has been hinting with the way he's played the wild might not be able to keep him. I'm thinking 4mil is the max wild can afford. I have no clue with what's happening with the centers o this team but Hartman has played extremely well with kirill and zuc

I really think he'll be moved if Dumba is on this team. He could probably get a late 1st with a middle of the road prospect from a needy team.

I guess I would think giving him a look right now while Dumba is out makes sense to me since in theory thats who he'd replace if Dumba is moved next season. Addison seems to be doing great in Iowa so we can hope he'll be great of the Wild whenever he does get on the team fulltime.

Kings fans would be better judges, but I'm sure they're set on the right side, and would prefer a LD. In fact I think they may need to move one of them out, not add to one cause they got Doughty, Roy, Walker, and Durzi

You didn't look long enough because you missed the guys on the IR and LTIR lists. Drew Doughty, Matt Roy, Sean Durzi and Jordan Spence are NHL-quality now and Sean Walker will come off the injured list early next season. Then we have A prospects Brandt Clarke and Brock Faber in the system, with Helge Grans coming up behind them.

The guys we're looking for are young quality LDs like Chychrun, Provorov and Sanheim, Sergachev and Werenski, but I'm not optimistic that we'll land one of them.

The Goose extension is an absolute head-scratcher for me too, plus, I completely agree Kulikov has been much better! This is why I am convinced Dumba is the odd man out…

That would be interesting for him to get that much based on 73 NHL games played and 15 points scored. Doesn't exactly scream "consistency." Not sure I'd hand him that much money for that long based on such a small sample size; that kind of deal seems like it has a greater chance of becoming an "instant regret" situation than it does a steal. I wonder if he gets offered a $2M bridge to see what he can do in a full season in his last year of RFA?

Detroit declines, Jost isn't a need. And it's doubtful Dumba is getting moved after just buying a new home there in the Minneapolis area.

Why would Dumba buying a home have anything to do with any of this?

Because generally players don't buy homes if they're going to be dealt, But then again Anthony Mantha bought a mansion in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and was dealt some 3 months later. So it does happen.
