If he makes it to free agency, My guess is either New Jersey or Philly the two hometeam areas.

It’s getting tiring seeing these CGY AGMs with Monahan on LTIR and 500k in cap space. Monahan hip surgery and rehab is 5-6months, he’ll be nearly 100% at season start. You can’t just place him on LTIR as if he and his contract doesn’t exist

I believe he was interviewed on a Philly radio station 2-3 years ago. And yeah it sounded like he was leaning on coming home to Philly as a free agent.

I mean you can just look at where he grew up. It’s a stones throw from philly. If the devils are in the “hometown,” talk, so are the caps. It’s philly and that’s it.
