Miller and Horvat 6x4 extention
Cheap? Yes. But I think that this team is going to buy into the notion of 'take less to win more.'
“I try to feel like I’m never satisfied, I’ve got an amazing opportunity since I’ve been here. I get to play in every situation, which is something I’ve worked for my whole career. But, that being said, it doesn’t really mean s*** to me if we don’t play in the playoffs, It’s great, but I’m not in this for the personal gain.” - miller on his 90 point season.
I think that if miller can get behind a discount contract, so can bo. It isn't that their contracts will be anchors, it is the value of their contracts that dictate the direction of the franchise. Too expensive? trade, team friendly? keep
both guys have made about 30m gross or about 10m net in their career, that is a crap ton of money, with the right advisor that is paying 800k per year or more.
fill the farm with the kids who we want to play on the team and not necessarily all vets, of course we need some to coach the kids along but we also want them to be able to get the ice time to develop. I think that Noah Juulson can be the captain there for a few years, be a good leader and help the kids to find their footing in the A
When klingberg leaves, Dallas will need a replacement and myers can be just that, a big RD who can kill penalties, move the puck and is not a defensive liability (~+17, I know its not a great stat but if its that high, that is something to take note of).
Bemstrom can be swapped with the llama, I like the llama but we need a righty.
LAK has a plethora of RD, Durzi seems like he will soon enough be pushed out by the likes of faber and clarke, I think that a 2nd and 3rd would be a fair price but kings fans let me know. I like Helge Grans but I think he'd be a later bloomer, I think that Durzi could come in and slot in.
Let me know your thoughts, be nice about how you respond or I wont respond at all.
Stars decline. No huge interest in Myers due to him sucking and being way too expensive, even with retention.
I'll trade Faksa+Khudobin+3rd for him. Cap hit remains pretty much the same.
LA fans are going to be mad about that offer. It's very lacking.
Also that Horvat and Miller signing $6M deals notion is a pipe dream imo...at the UFA market Horvat can get $7M and Miller closer to $8-9M if he nets almost 100 points again.
Overall, I'm not a huge fan of this approach. Way too much "hoping for the best" to my tastes.

I agree that it's possible that all 3 of Boeser, Horvat and Miller take discounts to stay, but those discounts will look like 6M-6.5M for Boeser and 7M-8M for Horvat and Miller all long term.
hahahahahaha Discounts...
Millers discount would be $8-8.5 = Bye Bye Miller.
Horvat will sign an 8 year, $55m contract extension, IF management is happy with his leadership qualities.
Boeser will resign, 4, $26m contract.
It makes no sense for Los Angeles to trade Sean Durzi, who is essentially a matured future that matches our window, for more futures. As my friend @bliker says, the only reason we'd trade Durzi is for an equivalently maturing and promising LD.
Bemstrom and Lammikko aren’t even close to the same player. Bemstrom isn’t a defensive player at all and needs to play in a top 6 role to be successful, he also doesn’t kill penalty’s.

I trust your word, I heard on twitter that he did so took that, do you think the value is roughly fair though?
I’d say you can have Bemstrom for a 4th? He need a change and to get out of Columbus.
I've heard that the nucks have been poking around to get a player like him and his name was thrown out there, mainly by twitter warriors so thats why I thought he killed penalties, but he might be a look for the nucks on the wing
I don't think that Travis Dermott will ever be more than a third-pairing, depth defenseman. I doubt that we'd be interested.
it would obviously be dermott + 2nd or so, but then you get the LD
we really dont want to move rathbone, OEL, neither of us want, and hughes is untouchable. the reason we are trading for durzi is because we dont have much organizational depth at the moment
