EDM fans have been doing every trade possible to get rid of Barrie. Zucker lets you out while providing a solid game.

If the cap doesn't work, that's a different story, but the player for player is fair.

I could entertain the deal from EDM's POV based on value, but it depends on what the market is for Barrie. If he can be moved for a mid-to-late pick, I'd just prefer to do that and keep Foegele. Especially given the additional cap taken on in this trade would require another cap dump deal (or Keith going on LTIR) in order to fit Puljujarvi, Yamo, and a new goalie under the cap hit.

And I say this as someone that's a fan of Zucker.
