Description
bring Knies in at end of season and juggle around. Try Knies - Blackwell - Simmonds, or Knies - JT - Willy with Engvall - Kampf - Mikheyev

Any injury to the top 9 and you either slide Blackwell up or bring up Abbruzzese or Robertson. If you slide Blackwell up then Abbruzzese or Thomas would take 4th line C

Détails additionnels:
obviously price depends on how well he performs down the stretch but if Gio wants to extend for cheap that makes Muzzin expendable. This is kind of the low bar of a return given his injury issues of late imo

I doubt LA has interest in Muzzin. And they certainly aren't sending a prospect with a pick even if they did have interest.

Not enticing enough for the Canucks to move Schenn. Maybe at the deadline if they're out of the playoff race but only way he gets moved in the offseason would be as part of a larger deal.

LA needs LD, has familiarity with Muzzin of course and he'd likely waive. Of course they probably want someone younger but if they lose out on an impactful younger LD Muzzin would be a fine stopgap to plug into the top 4. Akil Thomas is 22 already and not looking like a significant prospect, certainly not a lock to make the NHL consistently. A 3rd rounder and a like C level prospect is pretty reasonable

Ville Husso is going to turn into Vesa Toskola 2.0 if he signs in Toronto.

More fascination that Muzzin has value. A lot better ways to spend 5.6m X 2. 7.3m spend on goalies....looks like you don't have confidence in either of them

Kings are not taking back Muzzin. He no longer fits in their plans and there are plenty of other D they can go after that would be a better fit.

I would be shocked if we could move Muzzin for free. Funny how Holl should has been playing much better makes 1/3 of Muzzin and is a coveted rhd returns far less than Muzzin.

Must say Muzzin has been better since came back from LTIR that he has been all season. Holl though I have supporter of him, looks like Liljegren might have surpassed him now on the depth chart.

Certainly don’t think it’s a lack of confidence in Campbell, it’s the injuries that are a concern hence the Husso signing. But yeah I’d rather sign Holtby for 1.5 million and spend 3.5 elsewhere, ala Ben Chariot?

I agree. Personally I would keep Holl. But no denying that Lilly and Brodie are ahead of him. 2m for a 3rd pair D that can play top 4 isn't horrible. 6m for the same thing on the left side is not in the budget. Other than that gif awful play in Carlson he has been okay. But back on ir again. Regardless of what Keefe might think at the moment I believe all of Rielly, Sandin and Gio are ahead of Muzzin right now. If Gio is interested in signing cheap I don't see even a full time spot for Muzzin.

Dubas has got himself into a mess with two bad contracts. Neither of which I really blame him for. Neither appeared bad when they were signed.
