Can't see the Ducks taking two rather small Defensemen in the first round. Two future Top 4 D-men of theirs (Zellweger and Drysdale) are small already and Verbeek specifically said his team should have some size on the blue line to complement the smaller players, especially in the playoffs. And like this every Top 4 D-man on the team would be under 6'.

You always take BPA, doesn't matter the position.

Didn't talk about position lol. I was talking about size. Them taking two D-men in general isn't too unrealistic, but two small ones is. As I said, neither is BPA where they were picked here in my opinion.

Teams simply don't do that. They don't always go for who's allegedly BPA. Because sometimes you just fill your need or another player is BPA in their mind.

And if the GM specifically says that size is important for the defense of his team, he won't pick two small players so that the entire future Top 4 is under 6'.
