Former teammate with Steeves. And with Steeves lighting up the AHL rn why not

Needs to put on some weight but I like the potential.

Are you gonna comment this every time they sign someone under 6 ft?

Until the Leafs stop signing undersized players, it's embarrassing, no team is shaking their legs when someone who weighs 140 pounds hits the ice. This signing fits the narrative that the Leafs are a soft, small team

Leafs currently have 3 forwards and 1 D man under 6 feet tall. I don't care about the narrative, I care about reality

With the way the game is going, opposing team are much more likley to shake their legs at Brayden Point or Johnny Gaudreau than Matt Martin

They aren't a small team though. They are the 16th biggest team in height and the 13th biggest in weight. They are an average sized team.

You chose the wrong year and in the 2021/2022 season, Leafs are 21st in terms of average weight. All teams below the Leafs aren't making the playoffs

Yes, I just realized my mistake now. But still, 21st is far from the smallest team. And besides, they are 12th in height. Maybe some size would help but they aren't the smallest team out there.

I also did not realize how much size they lost this offseason. They went from the 11th heaviest team to the 21st. They got taller also (16th in 2020-21, 12th in 2021-22).

The difference between the Leafs and Jets/Bruins is 2 pounds. This stat is completely meaningless.

If Toronto replaces Nick Abruzzese with Curtis Douglas on their roster....

They instantly become a top 5 NHL team in terms of height and weight.

Please reconsider your life decisions.

Now when Matthews demands a Max contract he's gonna get stuck with $838,750 x 2 years.
