Would not do the Montreal trade. We should not trade a bad contract with 2 years left for a just as bad contract with 5 years left.

Not sure if Toronto does that, but the other trades seem pretty fair for the most part

Leafs say no even straight up, Montreal probably wont get rid of Gally unless its a sweet deal for them. Dickinson is worth a much later pick.

Bad contract with 2 years left is a lot more appealing than a bad contract with 5 years left. Seeing as how they both suck and have bad contracts, I accept from Montreals side

Gally has much more worth to is than Myers, no reason to trade him unless good price. 2nd + 2nd is fair.
Gallagher + 3rd for Boeser could be interesting

Pens decline. Marino is the better player. If they wouldn’t do Marino for Garland straight up, why would they add a fourth in the offseason?

Gallagher + 3rd doesn’t even get you close to Boeser. Gallagher has little to no value, arguably negative value. Boeser would cost you a 1st, Barron, and another piece

Funny. You thought I was crazy for my trade deadline proposed trades, and yet, I got them all correct! And then, you propose an outrageous offer for boeser. So much bias.
Boeser has an unbelievably high QO, he doesn't have as much value as you think, and don't think of Gallagher as only the player. Think of the experience, leadership, and that he still can have 30 goals per year. People on capfriendly undervalue Gallagher a bunch, and overvalue boeser a ton.

Yes a guy with 5 goals in 43 games can still put up 30 goals. He would end up being another Eriksson type contract for the Canucks. Easy pass

Boeser has a high QO, but it’s been widely reported he will take less on a long term deal.

How is that an outrageous offer for Boeser? Considering Lehkonen returned Barron and a 2nd, Boeser should return at least Barron and a 1st as he’s a better player than Lehkonen.

He's not getting that tho. Lehky is close to boeser in pints (9) with 3 games less played, and he's a WAY better defensive player than boeser. And tdl gets more than offseason, so that alone should make boeser only get 1st + 3rd. It's also that Gallagher has been injured, and last year he had 23 points in 35 games. 53 pint pace. Have you ever heard of an off year?
I much rather have Gallagher on my team from all aspects than boeser at the moment.

Gallagher isn’t just having a down year, he’s having an atrocious year. With all the injuries he’s had, he won’t come close to living up to his contract.

Also, you’re saying Gallagher is still valuable because he’s having an off year, but Boeser isn’t as valuable since he’s having a down year?

Gallagher has negative value like Myers. Gallagher and a 3rd for future considerations wouldn’t even be enough for the Canucks to accept

I am a fan of the Habs but that is some embarrassing bias if you would rather have an older awful Gallagher than Boeser. Gallagher hasn’t been good for a while and Boeser has had 1 down year and all of a sudden he doesn’t have much value. Gallagher is a cap dump at this point

Yes. For leadership, and defense, and he might only get 10 points less in a season than boeser, I rather have him.
I think boeser will want the current gally contract 6.5 × 6. Therefore imo the difference between gally and boeser should be around a 2nd or 3rd
