I think the Sabres might be a good path to be playoff contender soon, and maybe being very good soon. But not next year, right now too many good teams to leap frog.

Solid trades but this isn't the direction the Sabres should go, especially in a stacked Eastern conference.

Just curious, and I don't know the logistics of this or if its even allowed, but what about a sign and trade where we retain 50% on Olofsson for say 2 seasons and you get him at just over $2 mill AAV?

Imagine being so soft, so weak minded, and so insecure that you would first off feel the need to bring me into this, but also be too cowardly to even tag me.

Also, i don’t think the bruins are going to be a wildcard team, so you can do whatever you like with those wildcard spots….but its just so sad if you think buffalo actually stands a chance. Delusion isn’t a good look.

They’re two whole points back of tampa and toronto. They were in second place like a week ago. They have more points than any other east conference team in 2022.

This isn’t a reach, kiddo. Just take a look at the standings. Not rocket science.

Yes not a reach, especially with bostons best players just hitting their prime they shouldnt show any signs of regression until they are at least 55 years old. Good thing the bruins have such a strong prospect pool with jack studninka to come and fill in for bergy

Well i was talking about this season, and i guess i suppose next season.

Do you always just shift the goal posts when you realize you’re wrong.

The bruins best player is 24. Their leading goal scorer is 25. Their starting goalie is 23. Bergeron and marchand haven’t slowed down yet. I’m not too worried about, “studninka.” Yikes, you butchered that.

Why did age 55 come into anything?

Also he’s more of a fringe NHL player, no?

@Not_Not_Batman My question is why are you trading Ryan Johnson? Last year many Sabres ACGM's were trading Samuelsson but not anymore. Just bc he is a LHD doesn't mean we trade him. Some have said he does slide to the right side at times without a problem. He can be brought along at a slower pace and develop in Rochester. I keep the kid till we see what we have for at least a season or 2 to see what we have.

He has to be signed by next spring. I Imagine if he doesn't get a crack at the big club next season then he will just hold out and go the college UFA route. He is not playing over Dahlin, Powers or Samuelsson on the left and He would be a long shot to be the 3rd guy on the right. He is very much expendable with all the LD prospects that we have, so he makes the most sense to leverage in a trade to get stronger up front. Samuelsson was the guy last season because everyone believed that Johnson was ahead of him on the depth chart in regards to development.

This is the path that the organization has shown it will likely take. Grow from within and build around its young players.

Listen, we all throw out our ideas on here but lets be honest we know diddley squat... Samuelsson's time in Rochester was well spent and look at him now. He's not flashy but he is steady as they come. Why can't Johnson follow in the same way...I don't think even if we were not solid on the left side would Johnson be in the NHL. You have to see Adam's blue print, start your career in the AHL and when you prove you are ready you come up. Power will be an exception to the rule but then again he was drafted 1OA. Quinn and Peterka are proof that you aren't given a spot you have to earn it. Remember Peterka was probably the best player in pre-season and still was sent down. Finally things are being done right instead of rushing players into the NHL.
As for being a longshot on RD, Bryson is playing on the right side as a LH shot so it isn't as big a longshot as you think. I just don't see it happening next season

I would not trade Olofsson as he can be more productive than Garland even if he brings less overall as a player. Severson would be a fantastic add, but no way the Devils part with him unless its a massive overpay
