Just letting Heinen walk isn’t gonna happen.

Soucy, True and a 4th isn’t enough for Zucker and Kappy. Two legit NHL top 6. Mid 6 on a good/play-off team at worst.

Zucker and Kappy both better than Jarnkrok and Lemieux.

Kappy is just 25 years old. RFA, and will sign for 2M-3M this off-season. Even if he goes to arbitration hearing. And a lot of NHL winger would kill for a 11 goal 30 point “floor”. Kappy playing poorly puts up that production.

Zucker only 30 years old. UFA after next season. Yes he caught the injury bug with Pens. But still super fast, pesky defensively and has had 21 goals and 44 points in 85 games with the Pens. Basically one season. Has been unlucky injury wise. Hasn’t had a chance to get going, get steady PT on a steady line and steady line-mates. Still a mid 6 on any play-off team. Top 6 on the Kraken.

And I wouldn’t trade Dumoulin for that either. It’s not even a early 2nd round pick. Gonna be a mid to late round 2nd. Kings are in the play-offs. I’d rather keep Dumo and start Friedman or Po-J as the 3rd pairing LHD. Than Soucy(2.75M) and Kulikov(2.25M).

Trade one of Pettersson/Matheson and Pens have enough Cap to resign Geno/Letang/Rust/Rakell and RFA’s Kappy and Heinen. And maybe MAF. Atleast enough for league min. back-up. I wouldn’t mind it being Domingue.

Nuch will resign with Avs and will probably get more than 4M per. And probably longer term than 4 years too. He just turned 27 years old, nearly PPG player this season and top defensive forward in the NHL.

One thing to be said about this, and Zucker, is the chance we will take an extremely team friendly deal in MIN with a full NMC to be with his family.
