I can't see the Rangers touching that trade

I think the Canes might be willing to do that trade if they can get half retention on Murphy. If there isn’t any retention, the Canes likely can’t afford it. He would be an upgrade over Bear an with half retention, he would be making about what Bear would be making.

I honestly can't see any team taking on Toews til the TDL latest,(unless chicago takes significant salary back) if at all. Every contending team is going to be cap strapped next year. Even at 50% retention his production is not worth it.

I could see them sending him through a 3rd team for retention, I think a very good 3rd liner and decent 2nd liner at $2.25M is a pretty good deal, IMO.

TDL deal so the salary is prorated. He's a good player, he's only worth a fraction of his paycheck though.

I don't see the Oilers having interest in Kubalik. They're already in tough to re-sign Yamo and Puljujarvi, I don't think another RFA is in the cards. Also need to figure out the defense a bit better before they look at adding more offense.
