Canes payed a first for Skjei when he was not that good in NYR. Now that he has fixed his game with the Canes, Carolina would ask for more than what they gave up for him. Skjei can draw a first and a second, so the Canes won’t sell him for Pennie’s on the dollar.

Don't want to pay it? Fine. Go get a different defenseman. Carolina paid a 1st straight up for Skjei and he's now been one of the best defensemen on the best defensive team in hockey. Pay up or f*ck off
