Detroit isn't touching that Muzzin contract... dude might never even play again, definitely not trading any assets for him...

Pretty solid all around as far as trade values go. Maybe needs aren’t met but they are for NYR. I think DET trade is the only thing that could be an issue. Big cap hit, older D on the decline, but a team like DET/BUF might want that for their youth. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Muzzin doesn't waive for Detroit. Leafs fans should realize, players with NTC don't waive to non playoff teams.
Just silliness to obtain the meaningless Ferland LTIR
20 man roster, no 7th Dman....craziness.
Holl and LIljgren are cheaper and better and needed more than Schenn and Pearson.
Interesting that RFA Georgiev takes a pay cut as opposed to playing elsewhere

First and a prospect I agree with, but when the prospect is a 5'9" defender....

From Kloke's evaluation of Marlies players (The Athletic, March 2022):
Mac Hollowell: Like a lot of players on this list, Hollowell has shown strides lately. He missed over a month earlier in the season with a personal issue. There was decent production from the mobile defenceman when he returned, but some inconsistency in his own zone. My concern with Hollowell is more big picture: I haven’t seen serious strides in his game since his rookie season two years ago, and he continues to look like a player who can make quick work of the opposition in the neutral zone in transition, but can’t always influence the game at the other two zones.

Yes, he has new career highs in goals and assists, but he also has a career-high shooting percentage as well.

I agree. Some fans see that 1st and don't look any further. The reality is the Jets don't consider it as nice as a first would be.

Nothing against Hollowell, but IMO he's just an AHLer. Haven't we seen over the past years, high scoring AHL forwards or Dmen not getting a sniff of the NHL, because they aren't NHL capable.

Rangers won't move Georgiev for so little, and to somewhere he'd be a backup, otherwise they'd keep him

I’d take it for the 1st alone. That 1st could be a goodie in a very good draft year, especially with the Leafs goaltending issues not being addressed (as of yet anyways) and the chances of them making some big off season moves if they flop in the first round again. I take that all day and run
