Goal scoring PF's are hard to find at the top end, and Tkachuk is there now.

They'd most likely ask for McTavish and Comtois with the first and Vaakanainen, and tell you to keep the seconds and Milano.

Of course he's not. But Hobo is right, neither is Tkachuk unless contract negotiations go sideways. But since he's an RFA, they're not gonna sell cheap. And if you go after a big boy like that you gotta be willing to put something of value in the trade.

I think it's going to depend on Johnny Gaudreau. If he leaves, Calgary has to keep Tkachuk, and they should have the cap space to do it. If they have a chance to keep Gaudreau, it's going to be interesting. If they can only afford to keep one of them, I think they'd rather keep Tkachuk, but maybe they'd be better off keeping Gaudreau since they can trade Tkachuk and get something back for him whereas they'd get nothing for Gaudreau. Or maybe they keep both and trade Monahan and Lucic to Arizona (if they'll agree to go) along with some draft picks.
