I'm not familiar with your prospects on LD that are losing their waiver exemption but from what I can see in other ACGMs it looks like you want them on the roster instead of Schmidt.

Anyone have insight on whether Schmidt has DET on his list and would waive for it? He just bought a house and seems comfy in WPG.

He would be playing top pair with Seider and quarterback the 2nd PP. And Detroit has a pretty good chance of making the playoffs already next year. That could persuade him to go for it.

Honestly I don't think the value is there. Kapanen gets Erne and a 2nd by himself imo (I could be off but his value is close to that). Pettersson gets a 2nd a 4th (maybe more depending on how he does the rest of the year)

Basically we don’t have any. Edvinsson will start next year in the nhl probably but our other prospects aren’t ready yet.

I don’t see us getting Schmidt AND petersson, but one top 4 with 1-2 years of term is necessary to insulate the left side and help Edvinsson while other lhd prospects mature enough to fill that spot, which will take til 23-24 or 24-25.
