Perreault isn't exactly an upgrade, and I think he can only be traded twice after having his salary retained??? Might have to check the CBA on that one

Jarnkrok is a 3C not a 2C...Perreault is guaranteed to get 45ish points every year on a bad team. Jarnkrok hasn't got over 25.

Jarnkrok scored 31 points this past season, and is 25, just entering his prime... I can find a 2C elsewhere, but having him as 2C/3C is really good at that salary

I think I'm ok with that. What players would you specifically want from Columbus? I was thinking Gabriel Carlsson was one piece I can give you as a d prospect. Would you want Jack Johnson as a short term replacement for Ekholm? And then would a pick or young forward be better?

Any interest in Pysyk or Hartnell. NSH is likely the only place Hartnell would waive for beyond PHI. Or if you could retain $1 mil on Smith, we might be able to make a deal for Pearson
