Draft pick values. It's the value of the player you are expected to get from the pick. For Example, first overall is worth 917, while 32nd Overall is worth 246.

Judging by those values, you'd expect Montreal to get the best assets from the draft, while Colorado (Draft Value of 296) will get the worst.

Montreal has a huge advantage here because they are last in the league right now and I assume this assumes they win the lottery. Does Buffalo jump to number 1 if they get the first overall pick?

The numbers will change based on how they are doing in the standings, but yes, because Montreal is worse they get the first overall pick that's valued at 917.

If Buffalo won first overall and Montreal went to 7th Overall the top 5 would be

Arizona 2508
Montreal 2394
Buffalo 2329
Seattle 2319
Ottawa 1873

The values for the top 5 picks would be

1.917
2.871
3.826
4.783
5.741

The value of the draft picks were found from some website like 10 years ago saying what the actual value of the picks were, I can't seem to find it now though.

Yes. It's basically saying you will get a more valuable player with the 32nd pick than you will with a 3rd + 6th + 7th
