TBH, Chiarot was going to get a first, Habs fans were just cocky about it, he is a big minute munching defenseman with size, he will be good for them in the playoffs but the question I have with Florida, is that they still have cap space to make more trades, 2m I think, he's not done.

It was a heck of a three years, Big Ben, the most polarizing defenseman in Habs recent memory. Eye-test people loved him, analytics people hated him. Truth is, you will be missed in Montréal.

Asking price and trade value are not the same thing.

Rumblings, playoff performance etc. if Bennett basically got 2 2nds for playoffs performance, Chiarot could get the same, retaining, lower cap hit, position of need leads to a first. 3 and a 4 is a fleece. The constant 1st and Holloway or Pelletier was a joke. Habs fans know that as well as anyone.
