I've heard that it is expected to be a trade that includes Makar, MacKinnon and a 1st because JT Miller is playing at a level he never has achieved on any other team in the NHL before and might not ever be able to reproduce again based on his history...but I digress on the value some have put on JT Miller because of this outlier year.

How is this an outlier year when he has been a PPG player for the last 3 seasons and is top 15 in points the last 3 seasons? Sure some Canucks fans overvalue Miller, but he is worth a lot in any potential trade

He's been consistently excellent for 3 seasons. Some Van fans might be asking for too much but pretending he's not a difference maker is just silly. Guy literally does everything and is so much more than his points, which also happen to be top 10 in the league but he's "not that good". Every Avs prospect is the 2nd coming though.

Miller has played himself off the trade block imo. He’s far too valuable to this team to trade for anything but a kings ransom and Avs don’t need to do it since they’re already a great team. I can see Miller getting extended in Vancouver

Connor McDavid is also producing at a level he’s never produced at on any other team. What’s your point? Miller has been a point per game player for three years. That ain’t no fluke…. What evidence do you have that points towards Miller declining? He’s been getting better every year. do some more research, then come back when you have an argument why Miller isn’t good…

Last year Miller was under a point a game with 15 goals in 53 games, the year before he was just over a ppg and the year before that he had 13 goals in TBay...yes only 13 goals in 75 games. When he got traded to TBay from he only had 13 goals in 63 games in NY preceded by 2 22 goal seasons in full 82 games.

So if you haven't noticed, I am NOT a troll but simply pointing out his 1.21 pts per game is higher output than he has ever demonstrated before in his 10 year career... and he is 29 tomorrow. What is the precendent in the NHL for players entering their 30s in the NHL? I can share some articles with you if you haven't done the research. It is CONCLUSIVE with very few exceptions.

Also McDavid has only played for 1 team while Miller has had opportunity to break out on 3 teams. He did decent when he 1st got traded to TBay scoring 10 goals and 8 points in 19 games but followed it up with 13 goals in a full season the following year as I pointed out above BUT....I am sure you did that research and wouldn't be ignorant to another hockey fan here enjoying the CapFreindly website.

Anyway, in continued conversation with everyone here about JT Miller I don't know how Vancouver could trade him. He is too valuable for Vancouver for another GM to be able to make it worth Vancouver's while without the other GM terribly overpaying. It's like Schenn as well. He is playing really well with Hughes so why move him? He is almost making league minimum and has another year. With the old GM I could see Miller and Schenn getting traded but this TDL not with the new regime. They both fit too well in Vancouver.
