There are some underlying flags around Pavs game that could at any moment become more apparent and impactful. At his age that could literally happen at any time but at this hit and for only 1 year with how effective he has been on that line this is about as low risk as a contract gets. I like it

Good deal, it's only 1 year and Pavelski has been amazing, worse case scenario, he drops off and declines but it's a 1-year deal so that wouldn't have a huge impact on the team

His value is well over 10m with the season he's having, absolute steal from Dallas. Finally something good for them.

Pavelski is still playing really, really well despite his age, and the fact that it's a one-year deal decreases the risk substantially. The only downside is the NMC, which would make a deadline deal more difficult. But in a vacuum, it's perfect!

This is one hell of a deal for the Stars.
