I know that next years draft is supposed to be much better than this years draft but I’m thinking we have a legit chance to win a draft lottery this year and retain our pick. Let’s think about this scenario for a second… we are going to sell off as many assets as we can to recoup draft capital this deadline and that is going to make the team worse (especially if MAF decides to move oh boy!). We could easily get into the top 5-6 range with a bit of tanking and with a little luck we could move into the top 2 and keep our pick. Granted it’s not likely this will happen but let’s say it does for the purpose of this post. What’s the new GM going to think about this situation.
