Pens don’t trade Marino unless Letang gets extended. And don’t think that will happen until the offseason. And I still think they keep Marino. But he won’t be traded now for sure. He’s their safety 1st pairing RHD if Letang doenst resign.

And Marino is signed long-term. And with how much D-men are getting now his contract is looking like a steal; not just the going rate.

Imo, they don’t trade Marino but if they did and it was with Vancouver, it would have to be Garland(who is also signed long-term) and L.Schenn.

I can’t imagine that boeser is worth that much more than Konecny that the flyers would take Myers. Y’all are stuck with him… unless chuck fletcher goes full muppet again.

I would do a Garland & Schenn for Marino deal.

I would hope the Pens would be atleast be interested in that deal. And then make Letang priority #1 to extent this off- season.

Pens top 2 lines would be in place for the next 3-5 years(just resign Geno and Rust). Guentzel/Sid/Rust, Heinen/Geno/Garland. And still have Zucker/Carter/Kappy or E-Rod and ZAR/Blueger/McGinn.

Might have to move out one of Matheson/Pettersson and like 2nd round pick to resign them and keep them all under the cap.

But the D-pairings would still be:
Dumoulin/Letang;
Pettersson/Schenn,
PO-J/Ruhwedel.

And still have Friedman and Riikola. And still have Boyle, D.Simon, Angello, Zohorna, O’Connor, Poulin, Legare, Puustinen, A.Nylander, Hallander, Bjorkqvist.

Ya, Marino is 24 years old(turns 25 in May) and is signed long -term. In my opinion, they would have to get back another young player that is signed long term to a similar contract. Although Marino’s contract looks a lot better. Especially for what D-man are getting these days.

Honestly that's my thought here lol. Fletcher reportedly offered risto a big extension and paid a premium for him last year. He's scared he won't have a dman so maybe if the Canucks are lucky he will see actual value in Myers. (Would be unfortunate for flyers fans though and I am sorry for them if it happens).
