Decent? He's 20, the last goalies to put up his numbers in their D+3 year were Murray, Saros, Hellebuyck, M. Subban, and Gibson. Even Vasilevskiy didn't have those numbers until his D+4 season. In 14/15 would you have traded Vasey for the last year of David Krejci's contract?

Except sharks don't need another Goalie prospect 2-3 years out still, they need offense, and even Wolf and a 1st wouldn't do it. sorry but your over-valuing a young undersized goalie prospect and undervaluing a guy on pace for 35 goals.

No you are attempting to lower Wolf's value based on team need. He's also not 2-3 years out from the NHL he's likely 1-2. Wolf is by far Calgary's most valuable prospect (way more valuable than even Pelletier) and would certainly not be on the table for a rental. He would be unavailable for even Scheifele who is much better and has more term than Hertl

I never undervalued Wolf though with the modern goalie being 6’3” to 6’6” he is undersized. what i said was he didn’t fit the sharks needs. your the one arguing how great he is and how he is untouchable.

Personally I 100% agree. but the NHL GM’s don’t. guys under 6’ aren’t even considered anymore regardless of their potential. to me that’s a slap in the face of guys like Artus Irbe, Mike Vernon, Grant Fuhr, Curtis Joseph, Mike Richter, etc. all good to great goalies that 99% of the GM’s today wouldn’t give a chance to because they are under 6’.
