Debrusk isn't good

BOS needs LD or 2C, not RW.
Think Girard or even Murray...

The Avs don’t touch that with a 10ft pole. Burakovsky has almost double his points and with Bednar mixing lines he has looked crazy good.

bruins add, a lot. also doesn't make sense.

Burakovsky has over 2mins PP time per game and plays on the Avs 2nd line as opposed to DeBrusk who plays 3rd line minutes with ~1 min on the PP. Not necessarily promoting DeBrusk here btw, just stating facts. As stated above I'm just curious to hear some thoughts.

I disagree that Burakovsky has looked crazy good. A lot of offense on the 1st line dies on his stick. He's scored 3 goals in the last 3 games but hasn't really convinced doing it.

Who is their other top 6 RW other than Pastrnak? DeBrusk is better at LW according to most Bruins fans, but is stuck behind Hall and Marchand.

Girard is a non-starter obviously. Murray you can have if Avs find a better/cheaper replacement for him.

Top 2 at RW 90% of BOS season, other than last week or so (JD), has been Pasta/Smith.
Buro. is likely a 'sideways' move, but yeah that it could possibly work (not a fan of his UFA/rental status and what's his next contract @ 5x$5M, 5x$6M min)?...

Not the biggest need as mentioned but if TDL nets an LD, 2C & RW-Buro; be a win.

eh you can't judge a player by his time on one team.
My problem with him as a player isn't necessarily the play. It's the pay.
If he was getting 2 to 2.5 mil per, I'd say great. I'd take him. But his QO next year is awful and he's not worth it on a teams cap.

DeBrusk is unhappy and unsuccessful on Boston's third line, so why would he be happy and successful on Colorado's? And what is going on with the sudden negativity on Burakovsky? He's streaky and all but he's very much a positive player who can play on either of the top two lines (and in either side). Why trade a guy like that if you don't need to?

So your solution is take a guy who plays on the top 6 of the team with the best record in the NHL and trade him for a guy who plays on the 3rd line of the 10th best team and has 57% of the production? How is any of that logical? I mean dislike Burakovsky’s streakiness but literally you just said offense died on a guy with a 3 game goal scoring streak, the coincides with Bednar sticking him on the top line. Or do you just think it was the haircut?

Lol at even mentioning Girard unless you're adding a LOT to DeBrusk.

I said what the team need was not the trade pieces...

BOS needs to add and Bura doesnt fill a need for them
