That’s not exactly a positive return. Before Wood’s injury he was worth a 2nd tops. The fact he has been injured all season depreciates his value. I doubt Wood would even return a 4th round pick until he actually comes back from injury.

That’s a positive return for zucker. He’s been hurt half the year also, along with his 5m+ cap hit for .5PPG player is not attractive, along with the fact he only has on year left on that contract and then he’s a UFA who may not even resign. He has absolutely no value to NJD, playoff depth for contender possibly little value, but with contract no contender is going to want him or have cap for him, a la pretty much worthless at this point in time. So I guess I’m not saying he’s worthless, more of this is probably not the best time to be shopping him, off-season would make more sense, and i don’t think NJD is going to be the team to want him at all.

Along with NJD fans loving wood, he brings more to the team then points and they value that whether he plays this year or not. So in their eyes he’s still worth a 2nd.

I’m not a NJD fan so I could be way off here but I don’t see Devils moving Wood, they value him to much along with value being “down” cause of not playing this year. But he’s still a RFA on cheap contract and will still be a good cheap player next season when he returns on a new bridge deal contract I assume so need and want to deal him isn’t their unless they’re going to get something valuable in return

No that’s not positive return for Zucker. Again Wood is worth at the very best a 4th. So we’d be paying a higher pick to get rid of Zucker and take on Wood who is a free agent this year and might not be worth his QO. Zucker when he was playing hurt was playing well. Just wasn’t scoring but the pens were a vastly better team with him than without him.

LOL man your all over the place here. So why trade for a player you might not qualify?

Zucker hasn’t done anything in 2 years. Ok so you say it’s because he was hurt. So no production from a guy for 2 years making 5m+ for a guy 4 years younger with no production for 1 year and brings a much more energetic style of play to a team then zucker. So whether you believe it or not Wood is worth more then Zucker at this point.

Offer NJD fans a 4th for Wood and see what responses you get! I’ll watch :-D

I’m not saying Zucker isn’t a good player or he doesn’t make his team better cause he does, I just think PIT would be better off getting him back to MIN style form and then offloading him for much bigger return next TDL or hopefully he can make it back this year and get his groove back and make his value rise and trade him in the offseason when teams are more equipped to handle 5m+ in cap

Listen, I am NOT a Wood fan nor a believer even as a Devil fan, but...

In what world would a team trade a player who scored 17g last year and isn't a cap problem for a 4th....or for a dead weight cap hit. Honestly...Why do you even want him?

Well clearly I’m not. I’m not the one who made this. I’m the one stating this is a bad trade for the pens.

Perfect you guys hang onto your 5m dollar 20 point player and NJD will keep their 3m 20 point player. When you guys have to pay to move Zucker or trade him for worse player at lesser cap hit we’ll all still be here to tell you it’s ok and rub your back

You’re right about one thing. Wood is a 3 million dollar 20 point player. And that’s his ceiling. Zucker isn’t a 20 point player. He’s a 40 point player in his worst seasons but nice try 😂. So when you’re wrong like everyone always is about pens players. We will still be here to tell you it’s on and rub your back.

Deal can’t wait, should be fun to watch, Zucker is a 40 point player and that’s it not at his worst season nice try, he’ll never have another 60 point season. Sorry little man! Hahahah his prime is gone and is nothing but declining from here on. I think he can have a couple more 40 point seasons but he’ll have to play a full season first

Yes it is at his worst, little man. I’m sorry facts upset you. At least Zucker can hit 40 points. Wood can’t even do that in his prime 😂.

LoL you think this upsets me, I’m neither a pens or devils fan, this is absolutely meaningless to me. Come find me when Zucker gets over a 40 point season again. Either way Wood is worth more then a 4th and Zucker as he sits right now is a cap dump 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 🤫 🤫 🤫 🤫

Well you’re wrong as usual. As for finding you when Zucker gets over a 40 point season again, I don’t know if it’s possible to reach your level of delusion to find you 😂
