i think you got Josh Andersons value right. But I don't see MTL moving him

I actually meant to add retention to Anderson. I think they would move him if they could get a first for him, but no one wants that contract, its about 2 yrs too long.

Take a hike, like honestly they sure as hell ain't retaining a dollar on anderson and if you really think they will it'll cost 2 first rnd picks AND your top prospect

Nobody cares if a contract is 2 years too long if they are getting good use out of the player more immediately.
GMs acquire such players because they value current results over future possibility.
Only armchair GMs have the luxury of the long view because they don't have the pressure to produce results.

Neither can real GMs assume that every prospect will 100% reach their potential and be ready exactly when they need them to be. To armchair GMs, every prospect is destined to be a top line player and should already be leading their team to glory next year, if not now.

I think quite a few teams will have interest in Forsberg. He's playing very well and a lot of playoff teams have struggling back ups or tandems. Not sure this offer does it.
