Pretty sure Hughes knows what Letang wants and how to negotiate with him if he was interseted in bringing him to MTL, if its a big raise he's after than its a non-starter for MTL of course.

He wants a raise from Pittsburgh. That’s understandable.
If he comes to Montreal and get a $5mm raise from endorsements, I don’t see him caring what his cap hit is. Especially if he’s captain of this team.
