Small Deadline Moves

Description
Some possible looks for the Bruins as they approach the deadline this year. I don't expect them to make any crazy moves but definitely a couple of small ones.

I think that the Kings would take that deal, Forbort played his best years alongside Doughty. The Kings are a little short on the LD and Forbort could help them out. They also get Senyshyn who could maybe break through there.

I think that the Bruins should go for Kessel, considering Arizona's low asking price for him. RW scoring has not been there this year for the Bruins. Kessel could help that with being on the 1st or 3rd line.

Mayfield would be a good pickup on a great contract for the Bruins. They could use some more size and help on defense. Send Studnicka to the Islanders as well as a 3rd. Both sides should be happy.

Calling him "garbage" might be a reach but it would be preferable to not have him in the lineup regularly, I agree. Don't see Kings taking him in return of a pick, Bruins would have to pay given the term; it's better to wait for now.

Isles will likely want more for Mayfield.

Kings have Anderson and Bjornfot as stay-at-home types. What I think they need is a dynamic scoring 1LD or 2LD to pair with Matt Roy (Stay-at-home type). This is why Chychrun has seemed like such a good fit.

That being said Forbert is a shut-down LD, if people are going crazy for Chiarot I see him as a cheaper option (just not the right fit for us)

They brought him in for one reason, kill penalties. He does. They should move both him and Reilly in the off-season. Until then it’s pointless unless they are upgrading the LD in the process.

Adding Mayfield would allow that. But considering his play, cap hit, not an expiring contract, and no need to move him, it will likely take a 1st to get him.
