You’re turning into Friedman with that acronym.

It’s CGY.

If that is my only flaw then I am an uber-proud CAL-user!
It is CAL-gary after all! LOL

That game-winning one-timer by MacKinnon was an unreal shot. Absolutely perfect.

Man I know that game was stressful but god I love Bunting-Matthews-Marner

15 points combined

including

1 goal 3 assists for Matthews
1 goal 4 assists for Bunting
and last but not least
4 goals and 2 assists for Mitch Marner

Not bad...

Also happy Marner got a Hatty. Like of the big 4 he deserved one but since 2016 never had one lul. Well he got a 4 goal one so congrats.

Eichel's been good so far! He can't do it all by himself-they were missing Stone, Marchessault, AND Pacioretty against the Coyotes, and of those three only Marchessault was back tonight (and even then they only lost by one). They'll be fine come playoff time.

That kylington injury looks NASTY.
It doesn't look intentional by Hartman, but does he do that, since kylington slew footed kaprizov 7 minutes before?
I love markstrom coming over and getting everyone away for kylington, then he talks to his countryman like a trainer does.
RESPECT to Markstrom.
Looks like long term, does chiarot seem like a better fit now ?

To bad his teammates only concern was trying to attack Hartman only to almost push him into where Kylington was lying down. Honestly Monahan and Tanev could have made the situation so much worse. Luckily Markstrom was there or someone may have fallen on him

But Hartman has had a bad habit of this sneaky ****. He did something like that with Bunting during the Thursday game...

It says "player adjudged to have exhibited the best type of sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct combined with a high standard of playing ability"

So its all opinion based?

Literally yes. It’s basically whoever got like 70+ points and ~10 or less PIMs that the voters don’t hate, plus Jaccob Slavin lol

Absolutely. Markstrom (much like Jack Campbell) is a great guy with a heart of gold. I don't think either of the trips-Kylington's OR Hartman's-were intentional though. Looking at them, Kylington's is definitely a trip but it doesn't seem to be intentional, and Hartman definitely held Kylington's stick and caused to him to lose his balance and horrifically crash into the boards (looked like he hit his head-oy), but while the holding of the stick was definitely with intent, I don't think he wasn't trying to hurt or trip Kylington in any way, players hold the opponent's twigs all the time.

Yep, hard to say holding the stick is intentionally tying to hurt someone lol

Eventful night huh, couple of pages to catch up on so here’s my thoughts

Rare Gretzky L

Quoting: PointStamkosVasilevskiy219188
Not at all. I actually really hear where he's coming from. The NHL shouldn't sit idly by while this goes on. Doesn't mean you have to ban Russian players from competing in the league, but in a tournament specifically organized by country, designed to reward the country with the best players, make a statement to that country by saying "we are not going to allow you to violate human rights and still have the opportunity to compete."
NOTE: I'm not saying if you don't agree with him you're morally wrong, I can totally understand a stance that says "it's really a players tournament, and we shouldn't punish the players for their country's despicable behavior", but I would disagree seeing as how it's a tournament specifically organized by country. Regardless, it takes guts for Gretzky to voice that opinion, MAJOR props to him.
NOTE #2: Again, I don't think you should punish the players for their country's behavior. That's why I think Dominik Hasek's opinion that all Russian players should be suspended from the league is completely unfair-they're not responsible for this atrocity, and they're not representing their country in the NHL either, they're hockey players who just happen to be from a bad country, not their fault. But the World Juniors are specifically organized by country. There, the players are COMPLETELY representing their country, and the country is literally running the team-that's why I think Gretzky's proposal not to let TEAM RUSSIA compete as a COUNTRY is very sensible.

Yep, that’s pretty much my thoughts too, anything where a team plays against Russia in a international competition, Russia shouldn’t be allowed to go since they represent the country as a statement against Russia’s actions.

Let's separate this:

Lehkonen = Iorio + Samsonov + 4th
Evans + Montembeault = Lappiere

Habs aren't trading those 2 unless MAJOR overpays.

How did you get that? Holy overpay, I get that we might not trade them for fair value but that doesn’t mean the ask is astronomically high, Evans is a bottom 6 forward and Monty’s a backup goalie, they don’t fetch one of Washington’s best prospects, same for Lehkonen, he’s the perfect 3rd liner but Samsonov has more potential to be a game-changer and I’d take him over Lehkonen value wise so not sure why they’re adding Iorio who’s one of their best D prospects in a bare pool

Quoting: DucharmetheDOMinator
Dare I say Tavares contract is one of the worst in the league.

He’s still almost a point-per-game, he may be slightly overpaid but to say he’s one of the worst contracts is a bit much

Yep, being a Leafs fan seems hard, no cup since 67, no round 1 win since 2004, constantly blowing leads and having an inconsistent team
