Bobcat’s Post Game Notes, Game 50

Jackets win, 4-3 in overtime over the Toronto Maple Leafs.

-JF Berube got the call again. I didn’t feel as nervous about this than I did last game. Berube looked great then, and looks great now.

-Can we make Andrew Peeke one of our goalies? He’s done a lot of shot blocking today.

-John Tavares got thrown down by Gus Nyquist. It wasn’t called. Weird.

-THE POINT STREAK CONTINUES! Patrik Laine scores two goals tonight!

-Jason Spezza tied the game up with a questionable play. That looked like it was kicked into the net. Perhaps that was called a goal as the make-up call for the Gus incident.

-20 seconds in, Patty sends us home. Neat.

Bringing this over from the last one but I think this is an important topic

How long before Steve Briere gets fired?

As idk what hes teaching the goalies rn but this seems to be a re-ocurring problem with them. They start strong then come February struggle or not do as great.

Cause everything else has been fine on our other assistant coaches wise. PP has been good when clicking and PK solid when clicking.

Goaltending seems to be off and last year and the year before we had the same issue with goaltending at this time.

Might need a new guy to shake things up.

I think Steve Briere needs to go

A new goalie coach with a fresh perspective is what we need

As this year we got a new PK coach went from 20th PK to 5th, Got a new PP coach #1 in the NHL

Need a new goalie coach as it seems Briere aint the guy rn

devon toews owned him in ot too.

yea something is up he went from red hot to ice cold. i dont think hes even a .900 goalie in the last month.

Hes 3rd in Takeaways with the 2 guys in front of him being Weegar and Pitrangelo and their both Dman. 53 takeaways for a forward aint bad lul

Keefe got to have a sit-down as no matter how good the D is if they gonna be letting goals in like that not good. Briere got some work to do.

But why would Arizona do this. Callahan looked like someone they could use next season as hes probs done College now

He has turned into holtby in one year.

I’m not sold if I even want him back next year. Committing 4 years to a 30 year old goalie is scary. He needs to get his game back and take this team on a playoff run before you commit to him

A short time in the zone in November say is one thing; great for fantasy nuts.
