Détails additionnels:
I asked Frank Seravalli today on the DFO show and he said that other than the Jets pending UFA's in Copp and Stastny he thinks that Dillon could be out the door come TDL. He said that teams that are interested in Chariot are probably also interested in Dillon. He said that Dillon is similar to chariot but better, and that he is also under contract for a few more seasons which makes him a valuable piece at the deadline.

I would be surprised if it happened at the TDL, however in the offseason I think it is a possibility.

Just get the highest pick for him so you can start to play Heinola.

I could see a contender going hard after Scheifele at the TDL. 3 playoff pushes with a RHS PPG #1C on a steal of a deal would garner tons of interest. Target a potential #1 RHD or C. If Chevy isn’t exploring this option right meow, he needs to. Maximize the return and do a quick turnaround like NY.
A blue Chipper/roster player/pick(s)

Copp and Stasny for sure. I would love to keep Copp but I think he will be too expensive.
Trade Copp to a team that needs retention to maximize return, hopefully in the 1st or good prospect/mid pick type return range.
Talk to Stasny to see his preference first. I assume Minny but if he wants to stay and re-sign, I keep him. He’s very respected and has done a lot for the franchise and is loved by everyone. Probably return a 2nd if traded though

Dillon should get more than a Chia return. I would target Edmonton or Toronto. He would be very valuable in playoffs, especially for the extra year at a reasonable cap hit. If Chia gets a 1st, Dillon should get more. Maybe Edmonton for their 1st/B prospect or Borgault+? Free up 3.9M

Pull the C off Wheels.

Get a new coach. I’d love for Chevy to go off the board for a Scott Sandelin or Rikard Gronborg. Enough of recycling the same garbage. Find an entirely new coaching staff and shoot Huddy into the sun.

Beyond that, Chevy should sit down with the players and see who’s on board with a quick restructure and who’s intent on re-signing. Move on from the rest. The only untouchables for me are PLD, KFC, Perfetti, and to a lesser extent JoMo and Heinola (Samberg would probably be in there as well).

For a Scheifele trade I have heard Elliotte Friedman, Chris Johnston and Frank Seravalli (none of the TSN guys yet), have talked about Scheifele on their podcasts. I have been saying Scheifele to NYR for Schneider + Lafreniere/Kakko + 1st for a while know.It makes a lot of sense that the rangers need a 1C and we need to get younger and bring in a young RHD.

I bet that Copp returns at least a 1st. I could also see him going to the NYR maybe even with Scheifele at the TDL, but I would expect that a Scheifele trade happens in the offseason.
Stastny definitely returns a 2nd. I could see him with retention going for a 2nd and a decent prospect.

I would definitely give Dubois the C but I don't think they would do it until Wheels retires.

I think that it is possible that Chevy is out in the summer, there has to be a change and Chevy is too loyal to his players.

For coaches I would keep Lowry on as an assistant and maybe keep Kompon but I agree with getting rid of Huddy, it should have happened a long time ago.

On the list of untouchables, add on Ehlers. It was shown in the game against CGY that if we don't have any of Ehlers, Perfetti, or Heinola, we have no transition game. There was so many zone exits that turned into turnovers and gave CGY a chance to score. I agree with the teams that should be interested in Dillon, TOR might not be interested because it is going to cost a lot but EDM should definitely be in on him.

Crap, forgot to add Ehlers to the untouchables, or almost anyways.

If we can get a first and a solid prospect for him then we should trade him.
