Bruins Sell at the Deadline Begin Rebuild

Description
THIS IS IF THE BRUINS ARE OUT OF PLAYOFF POSITION

Therefore, it is only right that the Bruins send off Bergeron to get a cup. Solid return for both sides.

Avalanche could use a veteran presence at a low cost, hello Nick Foligno.

Who knows if Kravtsov would even play for another NHL team. 6th round pick evens that out. Rangers seem to be the only team consistently interested in Debrusk.

Craig Smith has sucked for the Bruins. Send him back to where he had the most success.

Cap dump for the Bruins. Although Haula is a solid bottom six forward, may do well with speedy wingers in Anaheim. Wagner returns to the Ducks as well.

Forbort did well with Doughty back in the day. Send him back to LA for a few late draft picks. Cap dump.

Coyotes take in some more cap but receive a 4th rounder for doing so. Maybe Senyshyn can snag a roster spot there.

Bit of a stretch on the Stars one. I would trade Carlo in a heartbeat. Dallas receives a solid defensive defenseman with term and great AAV. If the Bruins can retain Klingberg in the summer, it is a fair deal for both sides.

Let me know your thoughts.

Nothing was too out of line here, *if* the bruins decided they were out of it (maybe mcavoy gets hurt or something). Then I saw Carlo for Klingberg. That is disastrous for any sort of rebuild. Like, about as bad you could ever do.

Yeah that last trade with Carlo was definitely a reach. I would trade Carlo in a heartbeat though.

I don’t think that Bill Guerin is giving up his best prospect and a 1st round pick for 1 year of Bergeron

It’s not a reach it would just be super dump for the bruins. Lighting assets on fire.
Trading carlo would be really really really really stupid.

Since Bergeron is a rental, he won't get you Rossi. Not even close. But a 1st and a good prospect you could definitely get.

Don't think the wild trade Rossi even for Bergeron. The Wild will have so much dead cap space that they will need cheap ELC for the next 3 years

Bruins are not selling Bergeron even if we do a full on tear it down rebuild unless he specifically requests it, Minnesota isn't paying that regardless, Rossi was near untouchable for Eichel if I remember correctly

What do you see in Carlo? He is not very good in all honesty and is one concussion away from calling it a career. Trade him now while he still has some value.

Every player is one concussion away for calling it a career.

Hes a number 2 d man. He’s one of the best shut down d men in the league on an awesome long term contract. If the bruins truly enter a rebuild, he should be one of three players on the roster that isn’t on the table in trade.

This sounds so similar to the people who thought Krecji was not very good and overpayed, he’s a player who most people don’t appreciate until they’re gone. This team looks much worse with out Krecji and would be much worse without Carlo there would be no one to fill his shoes, him and Mcavoy carry the defense.
