I personally have no interest in Chiarot. As for our GM, he literally kicks tires on everyone, Toffoli was likely always the main target but he probably wanted to try and snag Chiarot off the market if it wasn't too expensive. Never hurts to have a backup plan. The emphasis here is definitely on "wasn't too expensive" though

Those Suzuki and Chiarot trades are awful for the Habs. For the Lehkonen trade, it just takes Lundkvist or Kravstov without the 2nd.

I would rather not do NJD trade, suzuki would also be on 3rd line, but if hischier + mercer + 2nd it makes more sense, habs have no need to trade nick whatsoever.

Petry value is good without retention, but with it the 2nd has to change to a 1st.
Habs rather acquire a 1st round pick, and calgary has no need for chiarot. Hans don't need Kuznetsov with the surplus of LD we have. There are 12 teams interested, 1 team will give 1st + 3rd, and maybe more.

Very good value on lehkonen, except Habs could get kravtsov instead of the 2nd.

Habs prob only take on khudobin with a 3rd for future considerations.

Perreault prob gets more like a 6th, but a 5th is fine too.
