Description

Wings biggest need and difficulty to fill is 2C
Need a superstar to take 1C from Larkin or guy that can be 1b to Larkin

There is enough talent everywhere else in the prospect pool

I am not predicting Edm trade Drai, but if they were to mix things up he is the logical choice between McD and Drai. What does it take? I’m sure a lot… probably more than this. Who else do the oilers want added? Ned likely off the table. More prospects? Actual roster player?

Detroit: none of the things in this trade can turn into Draisatl. (Already know position of 1st in ‘22 at time of trade). He is on a reasonable contract, in his prime, and has German buddy Seider. This team could suddenly be very decent.

Not worth it. This doesn’t make the wings a Stanley cup contender. If anything it might make them worse in the long term.

Right, Detroit's not giving up long terms of Raymond, Seider or Edvinsson for possibly only 3 years of Draisaitl that's not happening. You might get one of them but you sure as hell aren't getting two of them.
