Barrie didn't fit in last time he was there. He won't again. He wouldn't be put in the best spot for him to succeed in Toronto - he has to be the #1 PP guy and paired with a highly defensive reliable partner to be successful and that won't happen in Toronto.

IMO, (I have said for year for awhile ), Barrie was the WORST Leafs Dman in his one year stay here. He certainly isn't worth his contract. Holl is certainly worth his contract, and Mrzarek might have to be worth his contract and the Leafs # 1 next season.

Mrazek will get moved in the offseason for either an okay return or a modest one. He's a good goalie but Campbell is the man and will be resigned. Dubas always makes it happen, and will again this summer.

Oh no, it sounds like Dubas is going again give a "hometown premium" to one of his guys (in this case Campbell). Thought was interesting last summer that Campbell and Leafs never signed an extension. Now who was the holdout in this? By signing Mrzarek especially with his M NTC, I think the Leafs decided for what ever reason, Campbell wasn't going to be their guy in 22/23.

Dubas "makes it happens". I think his record as a contract negotiator has been poor, as had the Leafs executives who should have be been on the negotiations. Maybe those folks should have followed CapFriendly more closely.

Leafs are already looking bad in the cap department next season....RFA Kase, Engvall, Kase and Mikheyev. Spezza ant UFA , and Reilly already signed to 2.5m raise. And 2.5m Ritchie hangs over our head.
If it's money...Leafs really don't have a chance to sign Campbell. Avs and Chicago look like good destinations for him.
