I'm gonna be honest, I wouldn't even do this deal as a Leafs fan. Severson has been terrible this year, and his cap hit next year hurts the Leafs. I've always been a big fan of his, but he's started to look like Alex Edler did last year for the Canucks.

We can move those two guys in the off season for low picks / decent prospects.

@Devil no offense to your team, but his play has been really spotty. He was exposed so badly during the back to backs with the Leafs, some of it made me cringe.

If you're saying Severson has been bad this year because of two bad games against the Leafs then I completely disagree with you

You don't have to like it, but it's my opinion. I'm not much of a guy for metrics, and I've seen a number of Jersey games this year. The eye test is enough for me.
Not saying he's a bad player, (like I said, I've always liked him), but he's not a good fit for the Leafs. Based on where Jersey is sitting in the standings, his veteran presence on the blue line and his bad +/- (even though he usually plays against the other teams top line), I can't see too many people disagree with me.
