As far as Mayfield, I think that the Islanders should only move him if they're blown away. He's a big penalty-killing RD3 on a very affordable contract with an extra year of control, so he's a very attractive asset. If someone wanted to move a 1st for him, I think it would move the needle; if I was Lou and knew that I'd probably have to play against this guy a bunch next season too, I might try and drag out next year's 5/6 as the in-division tax.
If it seems like a lot, it is - the Islanders don't really have anyone in the AHL that's on Mayfield's level, plus the worst case scenario is no one meets that ask and they're "stuck" with him next year with a $1.45M cap hit.
