Tough to say, but probably can't take any cap back so all futures. I'm thinking a slightly beefier return than what Zucker got sounds about right, so 1st round pick, good prospect/young player, and possibly another later pick like a 3rd depending on the player.

For Philly maybe something like a 1st and Frost?

I was going to say their unprotected ‘22 1st and 2nd, but Frost will do. Heck it’s Fletcher…should probably ask for 4 1sts…

Fletcher didn't give up a ton of 1st round picks (1 for Pominville and 1 for Hanzal come to mind), but the man seems to hate drafting in the 2nd round with how frequently he traded those away.

I’d do Braun and Thompson but I’d hesitate to add more to that.

Understandable, I think it makes more sense for the Flyers to just chase Gaudreau in free agency than give up all that and then pay Fiala 1-2 mil less than Gaudreau.

Braun for Frederic straight up I would do it. Thompson is bad, you can trade him to another team.

I'd entertain trading for any one of those guys except Fiala, Flyers need more character not less.

What's that mean? Fiala isn't some cancer, like Kane is. The kids just cocky is all. Which is true of anyone who expects to be a top-six player in the league.

Frederic shouldn't make your roster either given his blatantly shoving a defenseless player like Kaprizov's head into the boards on what was a clearly dirty hit by those moral standards either then.

I didn't say he was a cancer in the room he's just not a team first kind of guy that I'd use $5 mil of my cap space on, as far as Frederic's hit on Kaprizov it looked like he was already going down and Frederic finished his check should/could he have held up ?? and he answered the bell when challenged after. If I was a Wild fan I'd likely see it different but the NHL didn't feel any suspension was needed. If Frederic was constantly taking bad penalties that put is team bad situations the no I wouldn't want him.

Fiala is absolutely a *team 1st* player. I don't know where you’re getting the idea he isn't from. He's a top line player, considers himself as such, and expects to be paid accordingly. He's certainly cocky about it, but is absolutely a team oriented player and person irregardless of that fact.

Most of his frustration this past offseason was in large part because the team wasn't willing to invest in him when it invested in Kaprizov, Eriksson-Ek and others on long term contracts and not him. He also was mostly given the leftover bottom-six caliber linemates the last couple of years and he still managed to produce roughly on par with Brock Boeser despite that. Since he's had Boldy on his wing though, he's been over the moon and overjoyed to actually have someone he can actually work with. Despite his frustrations, which he's admitted to, he's always been vocally supportive of his teammates, coaches and even Guerin throughout all of it.

Kaprizov was *going down* because Grzelcyk had just taken out Kaprizov's skates with his stick. Which very easily could of been called for tripping in its own right. Furthermore, Frederic adjusts his body and realigned himself to insure he'd hit Kaprizov when he realized he was going to miss. Kaprizov was already in a vulnerable position by that point. He chose to hit him irregardless of that fact. It was dirty.

Given that the puck had literally popped out and was in-between Frederic's legs at that same point, and all he had to do was wrangle it in and make a beeline for our defensive zone without making contact on a defenseless player. It casts his actions in dubious light at best.

Ok you've convinced me Flyers will give the Wild Carter Hart, Farabee and two first rounders for Fiala and sign him to a $10 million per season 8 year contract extension with a full no move clause and name him captain, also as part of the Fiala trade Flyers agree to trade for Frederic sign him to 7 year deal and send him to the minors so he won't hit any Wild player ever again.

Funny.

Sarcasm aside. My point about Fiala was he's not the player you think he is. A sarcastic and overly flippant response doesn't change that fact. He was asking for $7-8M on a long-term contract this past offseason. Which he's worth that much, imo. He had a legitimate gripe as far as I was concerned. And for the record, Fiala's current market value is $9M. So you're not that far off. 🤣

The Kaprizov hit is what it is, I'm not going to debate it anymore.
