That doesn't get you DeBrincat. As we Hawks fans have said before, you have to overpay HEAVILY to get DeBrincat. You're going to suffer heavily if you want to get him.

I don’t think Debrincat, or any single winger, will change much for NJD in terms of wins/losses. We need to strengthen our defense on blueline, find a goalie at least for short-term and then add a scoring winger. And the type of winger we lack more than anything is someone who is best closer to the net. A JvR type. Or Patric Hornqvist type. It’s amazing how few goals we get near the crease on tips, deflections and rebounds. Our shooting elsewhere is fine.

I would think Kubalik (or maybe even Strome) might be more fitting for NJD.

Funny our D has been the best part this year. Goaltending and lack of finishing are killing us.

Defense has been good, a lot better than last year but still a long way to go. Especially with d-zone exits and getting the puck into the hands of our forwards. And half our blueline have contracts expiring in next two years.

Goaltending has been abysmal. Not too worried about our forward group.

Defense should be the priority in off-season.
