With Raanta healthy, Carolina don't need Halak anymore, and raanta is the better goalie.

Raanta's been healthy. As a backup, he's not exposed to as much work as he would be as a starter. Freddie takes the load.

Don't want or need Hamonic, we've thrown away enough late round picks the last few years on players that don't move the needle enough.

No need for Hamonic. The Jets can't for him under the cap and he doesn't give the Jets anything they need.

50% retained and the Jet's are bound for a serious retool, some core players might even be asking out. This team beyond this season isn't going to look anything remotely like it does now

Again they've thrown away enough mid to late round picks the last few years on guys they didn't need and Hamonic would be more of the same, if you wanted to give us a mid to late pick to take him then maybe but otherwise no thanks, don't dislike him as a player but the Jets have plenty of D prospects pushing for work and we already took Schmidt off your hands which is already a cap issue like I said it'd be the day that trade happened.

Lol, I wouldn't be surprised if Schmidt moved teams again this off-season. He hasn't put up any points lately and he looks almost as miserable out on the ice in Winnipeg as he supposedly did in Vancouver

He started off great but has really stalled lately but so has the team, rumor is he bought a house in Winnipeg so maybe he's staying for awhile idk.

Hamonic is simply not needed. I understand Canucks fans wanting to dump him, but he just doesn't give the Jets anything they don't already have or anything they need. Plus he would just block younger players with higher upsides from getting playing time.
