All of the trades are a win now. As for Buffalo. If you think Tuch is untouchable you are in trouble. On the Avs he is a 3rd liner that we need for Power Play and in the corners. Boychuk is a trade chip no more. As for this not helping the teams. You are not looking at the players. Each fixes an issue on the other team. All of the players have a value when you look at the 200 foot game. Buffalo get two players that should be middle six. They give up one Middle six and an LTIR patch. As for the Seattle-Phili-Avs trade - Seattle gives up two players that aren't in their long term plan and get a number 3/4 Defensemen(building blocks) in Braun and Murray to support Dalin. Kaut would be on the roster of any middle or bottom team. Phili gives up two players that need a change of scenery and get Burky, Jost and Donnie on the offense. Donnie and Burky loved playing together last year. Jost is a Special teams monster. Plus a Future D man in Barron. How does this not work? Aves get Two Veteran Scorers they fit because of Boychuk and retension and the Aves get two monster lines that need to happen with Vegas getting Eichel. Now you are worried about the Future. thats the trick there isn't a future. Aves have 2 year to win it all or fail and have to rebuild. WIN NOW!!!

Funny how you say "Win Now", but you traded the superior Burakowsky for Konecky. So then you traded way too much to get Giroux. There isn't going to be bidding war for Giroux. He has a NMC and will just few teams he would willing to be traded too.
No way the Sabres give up Tuch for nothing. Back from injury he's had 10 points in 10 games And it's an absolutely false and silly scenario to include LTIR Boychuyk in any trade scenario. He doesn't help/hurt any teams cap.shakes head

You are missing the point. Tuch isn't a top line player. Boychuk absolutely helps as the LTIR offsets the cost ala Tampa use of it to enlarge past the cap during the season. Burky is only slightly better at scoring but he isn't a Center and can't help is possession parts of the game like Giroux. Konecky is an add on for some scoring. that is why we added other pieces to make it worth it but Phili isn't just getting players from the Aves they get Burky and Donnie which were a great pair last year. Plus they get a 1st and 2nd pick and they get Jost. For the Aves they get Toughness, Scoring and a D for the playoffs. The Avs have failed to win in the playoffs becuase teams can wear them out. This gets them help to put them over the top.

Sorry you don't understand LTIR.....It isn't the same at all the Tampa situation. Only three players on a team are top line players, so your evaluation is so false about Buffalo trading Tuch for nothing. By the that logic Avs shouldn't trade for Giroux since you think Giroux is a centre and certainly isn't displacing McKinnon or Kadri.
Make the trade if you want but it's terrible for the Avs (but that is subjective) and Tuch is staying a Sabre. You should learn about LTIR because it isn't a magic want for more cap. Your logic is so full of holes which you just fail to acknowledge. Good bye, I only write to folks are genuine in their thoughts.

Maltsev is barely an NHL player and NAK is a solid 3rd player sure but Tuch is a solid 2nd liner. Not to mention that this trade puts Buffalo under the cap without any other moves. Buffalo gets worse, gets penalized with draft capital being taken for not hitting the cap floor all for getting nothing in return. There is no logical reason Buffalo would entertain this.
