He's one of the best players in the entire AHL and also a rookie. His value should be right up there with Caufield.

If not at some point this year he will likely be a top 9 player next year for the Flames. There is no reason to move him for anything less than an upgrade on Monahan

He has looked significantly better as of recent. Really engaged and accepting his role. It was pretty clear early on the surgery was still effecting him

Petry is old, on the decline and expensive with term. we are in a rebuild and wont give up future assets for that. not going to happen
