Not a fan of the Reimer or Hertl trades, seem to be pretty low in value for me. Turris was literally on waivers last week and Hagelin is a cap dump.

Petrov's value has skyrocketed, i doubt he's available for that package. Reimer has another year on his deal which may be a negative for Edmonton as they would then have 3 NHL goalies on the books for next year.

"skyrocketed" is an overstatement but if Edmonton wants to do any damage this year they should probably realize they're going to lose some futures.

Sharks should focus on getting an NHL ready prospect more than 1st's. McMichael is ready and he is damn good.

I get he'snhl ready and I think that ultimately is the right play for the retool but he projects as middle six and taking on another year of Hagelin who they don’t need play retaining. I’d want a better return. The Edmonton trade to me is the one that off the most on value.

Hertl is a rental. We're not getting much better than this. Time to get realistic so we don't get our hopes up

No it isn't. His NHLe is exactly the same as Edmonton's 1st rounder, Xavier Bourgault, who is considered a 'pleasant surprise' for his performance this season. Petrov is knocking it out of the park as an 18-year-old in the OHL. Every bit as good as Coe while playing in a foreign country, speaking a foreign language for the first time... he's 2 years younger than Coe, too.

Very impressive. If there was a re-draft today it wouldn't surprise anyone if he was taken late in the first round, 6 months after being selected in the 5th round. That's "skyrocketing".

Like Sheng Peng mentioned, the stone trade is a good comparison. A top 25 prospect in the league and a 2nd. Not sure Mc Michael meets that plus taking a cap dump.
