I don't need a poker face bc I don't make these types of decisions for the team so I'll just say it... the Blues would be better off without Binnington than with him, so any return is fine with me. I'd take Koskinen to back up Husso and figure out the future in the offseason with some money to spend. Unless you're talking about an elite/franchise player, goaltending is random, maybe even voodoo. I'll be forever grateful that Binner got red hot and led the Blues to the cup in '19. But let's be real - his GAA has gone up every season while his SV% and GSAx have gone down each time. That isn't random, it's concerning. When he is on his game, he's a great starting goaltender. But at this point in the season, we have a big enough sample size to see that he isn't performing as good as any of the other goalies the Blues throw out there. IMO trade him, let him become someone else's project .

First of all, KH believes that the answer lays in the locker room already, and if tades for a new goalie were to happen, I believe that we should go after rentals that we can let go of in the summer, for example guys like korpisalo or Fleury, if we can acquire one that should be resigned, that goalie should be Campbell, resign Campbell for as low as we can go, possibly 5,250,000 a year for 4 years and then keep Fleury at 2,250,000 for 2 years, that should keep our Goaltending good enough until Skinner is properly developed or Konovalov is too, in my opinion, Skinner and Konovalov will be at best, a backup Goaltender, so by the time Fleury retires, either of the 2 can step in as backup
