Sounds like it would take a massive trade package to land Chychrun. Here is an idea of what I think the Yotes would be asking for:

1. Perunovich - he was a Bill Armstrong pick, had 20 pts in his first 12 AHL games. was a double-overager and missed his entire first pro season w/ injury so he's a little older than they'd be targeting but the most talented player in the Blues pool
2. Bolduc - 17oa in 2021 draft, top six LW potential
3. Hofer - 21 y.o., projects as an NHL goalie, Yotes are rumored to be interested
4. 2022 1st rd pick
5. Scandella - cap ballast, palatable buyout

Based on my interpretations, the Blues are way too high on Neighbours to put him in trade talks (although I don't think his ceiling his high enough to call him an untouchable personally). They could want Kostin in the deal and that would be fine with me too, I'd rather trade Klim than Hofer. It's a lot to give up from the blues perspective - the pool is already so shallow - but I think it would be a good decision to add to the team for these next 2 years when they've got ROR and Tarasenko under contract and Thomas and Kyrou on team-friendly deals.

Now all that being said, other teams will have a younger prospect to base the deal around and that probably entices the Yotes more than any package the Blues can put together.

This. That's probably the most reasonable trade package I've seen from a Blues perspective. Your last sentence absolutely hits the mark too...if someone like Florida is willing to part with Spencer Knight or Anton Lundell (Absolutely not on Lundell...semi-torn on Knight, only because Bobrovsky is there for a long time...), all bets are off.

I wouldn’t under any circumstances trade either of those prospects for Chychrun. Injuries, hasn’t been good this year, and defenseman whose best trait is goal-scoring give me the creeps. Still a great player worthy of a nice package, but I’d laugh if a player as hood as Lundell goes the other way.

Yeah, I absolutely wouldn't do Lundell...Panthers need his ELC, and he's pretty solid with an excellent ceiling.

With Knight, I flip flop. Realistically, is he going to play more than 30-40 games a season over the next 2-3 years? Is he a luxury that Florida can afford to move? Bob might not have been the most consistent since he came over, but you're paying him a lot of money, that's pretty much impossible to shed. At the same time, Knight's ceiling is f*cking outstanding, IMO.

I feel like Chychrun is the perfect piece to add to Florida's top 4, but yeah, I don't know.

STL would probably need to add a better prospect in place of Dickinson or add another piece to this trade honestly.

Yeah same. Probably would need to add something else... maybe replace Dickinson with Bolduc and add something else? IDK

I think @a_k's one is probably reasonably close.

1. Perunovich - he was a Bill Armstrong pick, had 20 pts in his first 12 AHL games. was a double-overager and missed his entire first pro season w/ injury so he's a little older than they'd be targeting but the most talented player in the Blues pool

I don't know if Perunovich is the right guy, like he said, but adding something for Yotes fans to watch in the meantime wouldn't be a bad thing...I don't even think they'd buy out Scandella...Probably try to build a bit of value and maybe move him next year? Plus, if they end up moving guys like Ghost, Stralman and/or Lyubushkin, they'll need someone like him anyway.

Obviously, Blues would never part with Parayko if they're trying to get Chychrun. But what if a 3 way deal was done with the Isles sort of like the OTT-NASH-COL deal? Blues could wind up with Chychrun and possibly Mayfield, Isles get Parayko and Cam Dineen, Coyotes end up with Bode Wilde, Scandella, Perunovich, Kostin/Bolduc, a Blues first and Hofer or Ellis?

Kostin and Perunovich are already NHL players, guy. But I doubt Arizona bites on this.
