I know Klingberg is a rental but he should get Dallas more than that and does NY really need two similar defense men?

Only piece of value going to Dallas is Chytil & it's not nearly enough value to trade away Klingberg, much less Klingberg AND Holtby.

Stars aren't trading Klingberg for a 25-year old "prospect" that can't get out of the AHL & a 5th Round Pick. If Dallas isn't getting a 1st Round Pick AND a high end prospect for Klingberg, they aren't accepting the trade

My thoughts exactly. Both these guys are sub par defensively, and the Rangers already have one of the top 3 offensive Dmen in the league. I think this actually hurts their chances in the playoffs, and could hurt their goaltending (mentally) long term. Plus, it's going to cost the Rangers more than Chytil and a second for both.

They might be able to get that, but I think you're over reaching. With Klingberg's play in his own end deteriorating, playoff teams won't be willing to pay as much for him. A first and a good prospect is probably the best you'll see, and that might even include a cap dump depending on the teams cap space.
